The Gastonia City Council has many Committees that are vital to the role of the Council. The Committees research and discuss many issues before they are presented to the Council as a whole. Each member of Council serves on several Committees and the meetings are open to the public and announced prior to the meeting date.
Committees will make recomendations to the Council and the the Council will vote on the issue being presented. Although it would be almost impossible for a citizen to attend all committee meetings, you can review the minutes of each meeting by clicking on the link below. Stay informed and know what issues are currently being discussed by your City Council.
